1) a 24 hours/365 days alarm monitoring service and emergency response provision for Sheltered and Extra Care Scheme Alarms and Dispersed Alarms.
2) an out of hours call handling service to respond to residents telephone calls with respect to housing repair and maintenance emergencies when the in-house call centre is closed and to provide a back-up service to the in-house call centre during normal working hours when the it is closed for training days or system failure etc. so that a 24hours/365days seamless service is provided. The provider will also be required to provide disaster recovery support involving an immediate response when required

The scope of works undertaken is expected to consist of, but not be limited to:
(a) Provision and maintenance of 5 and 10 year periodic testing programme.
(b) Repair and cyclical maintenance procedures within the South Somerset Works
Estate.
(c) Portable Appliance Testing
(d) Smoke Detector Testing
(e) Fire Alarm Testing and repair programmes
(f) Quality Control of installations along with customer satisfaction surveys
and feedback.
(g) Administration of contract, contract works and associated items.
There is an option to add Planned Maintenance works throughout the estate to
the contract at a later date (2010) up to a value of circa £0.5million per
annum.
Please note that South Somerset Works may not proceed with all of the above
aspects of works at the outset or during the period of the contract.
The exact extent of works will be confirmed during the Partnering arrangement
period.
