As part of its development of 'compliance frameworks' for Registered Providers
of Social Housing, LHC is loooking to develop a framework for Gas Servicing. It
is intended that this will include:
1. Servicing and maintenance of gas fittings and appliances.
2. Domestic, District heating and/or Commercial Service contracts
3. Other fuels types included - Oil, Solid fuel and Green appliance servicing
4. Full heating systems (wet/dry)
5. Various contract types:
Annual Service only
Annual Service, breakdown cover with parts and labour chargeable from an
agreed schedule of rates.
3* all-inclusive Service covering annual inspections, breakdowns, parts and labour (exclusions and nominal maximum cost agreed prior to contract).
6. Possible involvement of LHC to manage and monitor the performance and compliance of users and appointed contractors.
The final format of the framework will be developed after pre-tender engagement with the market and industry.

LHC seeks to establish a framework agreement in respect of the replacement of flat and pitched roof coverings for public sector housing and non-housing buildings throughout the UK on a regionalised basis. The form of the framework will be subject to a pre-tender engagement process, commencing with this PIN, but is likely to have consideration of the following:
1. The aim of the framework is to provide social landlords and other public sector bodies with a choice of competent, local roofing contractors to deliver their work.
2. SMEs will be actively encouraged to participate, either individually or as part of a consortium or collective bid.
3. Tenders from materials manufacturers capable of managing call-offs through their approved installers will be encouraged.
