Leicester City Council requires a powered evacuation device capable of evacuating persons up-stairs \u2013 Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 upwards (x 6 steps) and basement to ground floor upstairs (x 17 steps) in both wide and narrow conditions. The narrowest way is approximately 1 metre in width. The chair shall therefore need to be able to meet both these conditions. The following criteria must be met:u (a) The chair should be capable of downward travel with a person on the device and must be manoeuvrable for turning on landings.u (b) The evacuation chair should have minimal manual handling requirements, with any balance point of the device being attained and maintained with minimal physical strength. u (c) The evacuation chair should be battery operated but charged from a standard 240v single phase power supply.u (d) The evacuation chair must be capable of continuous operation for a minimum of 30 minutes on a full charge.u (e) The device must be capable of being left unattended in a charging state when not in use.u (f) The device will have a charge warning indicator.u (g) Any optional equipment such as rack, handles, or harnesses should be included in any overall costs but itemised.u (h) The chair should be capable of transporting persons individually but also have the capability to transport a mobility device (wheelchair) with the individual sitting on it. Should there be optional extras to enable this dual use then these costs should be itemised. If the evacuation chair is restricted to a specific wheelchair design/make or brand, then this must be stated though the authority is looking for a universal fit to accommodate all wheelchair makes.u (i) The chair should have a carrying capacity of not less than 25 stone (160kg) in body weight. The chair should also be able to carry the additional weight of an wheelchair used in evacuation.u (j) Storage must be freestanding or capable of affixing to a stud partition wall. (k) The chair should minimise any aggravation to existing conditions to person with the physical complaint.u (l) You shall explain the transfer arrangements for the person into/onto the device. Leicester City Council (\u201cthe Council\u201d) invites expressions of interest for the provision of Supported Living and/or Flexible Short Breaks service. u Leicester City Council are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations wishing to tender for the provision of supported living services to adults with learning disabilities (Lot 1); mental health needs (Lot 2); physical disability and/or sensory impairment and/or acquired brain injuries (Lot 3) living in the community. The services will be provided for people with any of these disabilities who live in a variety of settings (for example, shared rented or owned accommodation, individual rented accommodation, owner occupied property, extra care schemes or live with family carers or friends). u The Authority is conducting the procurement using the restricted procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the purposes of procuring the services described in the Specification. The restricted tender procedure will be undertaken to establish a Framework Agreement. u Interested parties must complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ), which seeks responses in relation to the Suppliers\u2019 technical capacity or professional ability, and their economic and financial standing.u The proposed Framework Agreement will be for 2 years with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than 2 years. Cambridge City Council (CCC), South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) and Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) are working together in a number of areas to share both front line and back office services. The Councils have identified the need to use a common Financial Management System (FMS) to enable sharing and to maximise cashable and non-cashable benefits. u It has therefore been decided to replace all 3 Councils current financial systems with a modern and flexible system common across the 3 Councils. The system selected and implemented will be externally hosted. It will enable and support the Councils\u2019 transformation through the provision of self-service functionality and intuitive enquiry and reporting capabilities. As such, it will be a key driver of change. u The project will be split into two phases: u PHASE 1 \u2013 Supply, configuration, implementation, testing and \u2018go live\u2019/ handover to the Councils of the fully functioning system. The \u2018go live\u2019/ handover dates for each Council may be different. u PHASE 2 (effective from the \u2018Go Live\u2019 date) \u2013 Ongoing hosting, support and maintenance of the system u As well as the core requirements of the system, the Councils may be interested in a number of additional functional modules to build on the system , including such areas as Performance Management, Fixed asset register and HR/Payroll u This Invitation to tender (ITT) is for all 3 Councils who are collaborating together on this procurement project with Cambridge City Council acting as procurement lead authority. Once the preferred tenderer is selected the Councils will award one contract (jointly signed by the 3 councils) to the successful contractor. This invitation to tender thus represents a lucrative opportunity for bidders and the Councils are looking for commercially attractive solutions that reflect the nature of this opportunity. The support and maintenance period(phase 2) will run for five years from the \u2018go live\u2019 date of the final Council system going live. There will be an option for the Councils to extend Phase 2 for up to a further five years. u This procurement exercise will not be divided into Lots because this is a contract for a hosted integrated system and is thus not suitable for breaking up into lots as that would potentially jeopardise the integrated nature of the solution. u This procurement is a one stage open tender subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (and an OJEU Notice has been published separately). u The closing date for tender returns is 30th November 2015 (17.00 hours).
